Chemical Injection Packages

KGD have designed and built a number of chemical injection packages in their own right, and this expertise is augmented by their alliance partners.

Coarse Strainer

Used mainly for sea water filtration upstream of media filters in a water injection system. The filter is a wedgewire stainless steel basket washed by a motorised cleaning arm and providing uninterrupted flow. Standard designs give particle size removal  of >75 microns.

Multi Media Filter

In collaboration with Ondeo Nalco, KGD offer a range of media filters used for either sea water or produced water injection. Media ranges from graded sand to multiple layers of garnet and anthracite. Filtration efficiency ranges from 95% removal of 5 microns up to 98% removal of 2 micron particles, determined by a suitable upstream chemical dosing programme.

Cartridge Filters

To complement the media filters and to provide polishing of relatively clean water to the 1 micron level, KGD offer a range of cartridge filters, based on the technical collaboration with Ondeo Nalco.
