Down Stream Degassing Vessel
Residual Oil Adsorption VesselUsed downstream of deoiling hydrocyclones or degassing vessals. Operates like a downflow media filter to adsorb residual oil. Media is removed on a regular basis depending on rate of oil contamination. Chemical Pre-treatment systems
Deoiling hydrocyclone efficiency can be improved by upstream chemical injection. Selection of the right chemical for an operating system is the key to success. In summer 2000 we solved a particularly difficult emulsion separation problem using our deoiling hydrocyclone with an upstream chemical provided by Ondeo Nalco. The pilot plant pictured reduced an emulsion with a mean oil particle size of 2-5 microns and an oil concentration of 3000ppm, to less than 30ppm. Back to top of page |
